If you are struggling during the 30-day minimalist challenge, this post talks about questions to ask whether to Donate, Trash, or Keep items you have!
What is The 30-Day Minimalist Challenge?
If you haven’t yet read last week’s post about what is the 30-Day Minimalist Challenge and How does it work? I have it linked here so you can check it out. Along with what I got rid of during my week one of the challenge!
Donate, Trash, or Keep?
But this week’s question is should we Donate, Trash, or Keep?
Some items are harder to get rid of than others, so deciding whether to donate, trash, or keep can sometimes happen with certain things.
Should I Keep It?
We all heard of Marie Kondo’s “Does it spark joy?” but there are items that don’t spark joy but we can ask ourselves other questions to know whether or not to keep it.
Do I use it often?
Does it have real sentimental value?
Is it an inconvenience to buy another one if you need it?
Asking these types of questions can help you out when things get tough.
Should I Trash It?
Some things are no brainer when thinking about trashing like ripped up, old, smelly, and delicate items.
But other items can make you second guess. Ask yourself these questions.
Can someone repurpose this?
Can this be useful to someone else?
Is it worth it to donate or sell?
Should I Donate It?
If you’re wondering if an item is good enough to donate then here are 3 questions you can follow to determine what is the right option.
Is it beyond repair?
If it’s new or gently used?
And is it missing items with it?
